
Su Dong (Accounting Manager)
A passion for numbers brought Su to Chapel Hill. After completing her undergraduate degree at North Carolina State University, she headed to UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. There, Su honed her knack for accounting, earning her master’s in 2018.
After gaining expertise, Su managed accounting at the UNC System Office and supported the UNC School of Government’s finance for more than four years. Now, Su has joined UNC School of Law as the accounting manager – a perfect fit for her background. In her current role, Dong helps internal and external customers navigate finance, drawing on her specialized experience across UNC schools. Her journey has taken her across campus, but Dong feels right at home empowering the next generation of legal minds.

Dana Dubis (Director of Development and Donor Relations)
Dana’s career exemplifies devotion to access and community uplift. She previously spent nearly a decade at Carolina Law herself, leading record-breaking advancement initiatives as annual giving director and then development director. Dana set new benchmarks for yearly fundraising campaigns in these integral roles and pioneered engagement strategies.
After expanding her expertise at North Carolina State University, Dana has returned to Carolina Law in a landmark role as its first-ever director of development and donor relations. Here, she’s focused on building a best-in-class donor relations program centered on meaningful experiences and stewarding a major gift portfolio to propel philanthropic support. Dana’s career has spanned different institutions but has stayed rooted in her dedication to service and community. She now returns to Carolina Law, where she first cultivated her advancement expertise.

Kaela Inman (Public Communications Specialist)
Storytelling runs through Kaela’s veins. Kaela graduated with honors in Political Science and Legal Studies from the University of Maine. Following that, she worked as a successful freelancer for five years before joining the writing team of renowned author Andy Andrews. Currently, Kaela serves as the storyteller for Carolina Law, where she skillfully highlights the agents of change nurtured here.
As Carolina Law’s in-house reporter, Kaela conveys stories spotlighting impactful student groups, groundbreaking faculty research, and distinguished alums. Through interviews and research, she discovers stories of Carolina Law’s community, highlighting the school’s role in creating global justice advocates.

Brittany Loomis (Recruiting Manager)
Brittany cultivated her passion for unlocking potential in Brooklyn’s classrooms. As a special education teacher, she spent a decade empowering public high school students to seize their academic capabilities. Whether guiding them through complex equations in chemistry, physics, or biology, Brittany illuminated pathways for growth.
Now at Carolina Law, Brittany draws on her specialized skills as recruiting manager. Here, she performs critical student services functions around career development and runs external relations with legal employers. Brittany facilitates the flow of opportunities between firms and students while coordinating interviews on- and off-campus. By connecting the brightest minds with purpose-aligned jobs in law, her commitment to potential stays strong.

Devi Patel (Director of Public Interest Advising)
Devi has dedicated her career to serving marginalized communities. She began as a staff attorney with Sanctuary for Families, litigating cases to protect domestic violence and human trafficking survivors. Devi subsequently oversaw a statewide pro bono program expanding family court access. Her passion for public interest law stems from her educational background. At North Carolina State University, Devi earned her B.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Then, while attaining her J.D. from New York Law School, Devi gained experience with organizations like Sanctuary for Families’ Immigration Intervention Project.
Now, Devi has joined Carolina Law as the director of public interest advising. Here, she develops public interest programs and helps students pursue careers in public interest law. Devi draws on her robust expertise, cultivating partnerships with the judiciary, legal services organizations, law firms, and law schools. Devi empowers the next generation of public interest attorneys through her commitment to service and uplifting others.

Michelle Rodenburg (Law and Technology Librarian)
After graduating from law school in 2020, Michelle worked tirelessly in Florida estate planning and probate law while concurrently earning her master’s degree. However, when Hurricane Ian upended her life in 2022, it set her on a new path once more. Now, Michelle has joined Carolina Law as the first law and technology librarian. In this role, she manages online databases and coordinates cutting-edge instructional technologies. Michelle is delighted to co-teach law practice technologies and share her knowledge with the next generation.
Michelle’s journey first took her from the shores of Florida to the courts of Cambodia. She studied anthropology and French at Florida Gulf Coast University as an undergrad before heading to the University of Minnesota for law school. There, Michelle developed her passion for international and human rights law. She spent a summer abroad putting this into practice at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. Michelle further cultivated her interests at home through the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic.

Greg Sabin (Advancement Communications Manager)
Greg cultivated his communications and policy experience in the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office after graduating from UNC-CH in 2019. As communications and policy coordinator, he published pieces on critical justice issues and advised the A.G. on reform. Greg then spent two years traveling the state as the A.G.’s special assistant.
Seeking new ways to create change, Greg headed to the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health as stewardship and donor relations coordinator. There, he elevated engagement through gift reports and tailored initiatives. Now, Greg is bringing his government and advancement experience to Carolina Law as the first-ever advancement communications manager. In this role, Greg creates strategic marketing and communications content supporting donor engagement efforts.
