He brings strong nonprofit leadership experience, having previously served as executive director and chief development officer at The Chalmers Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and as executive director of Third Millennium Ministries. He earned his bachelor\u2019s from Wake Forest University and a master\u2019s from Covenant Theological Seminary and serves on the Wake Forest University Alumni Council and the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Triad Chapter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clinical Programs<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nLauren Brasil<\/strong>, Staff Attorney <\/h3>\n\n\n\nLauren is a staff attorney in Clinical Programs. She previously served as co-director and managing attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Fair Housing Project, where she represented victims of housing discrimination in administrative proceedings and state and federal court. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from Lehigh University and her J.D. from Temple University School of Law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nRubi Estrada<\/strong>, Bilingual Program Assistant <\/h3>\n\n\n\nRubi supports clinic students and faculty with case management, client communication, translation, and interpretation in Clinical Programs. Before joining Carolina Law, she served as community systems manager at OASIS Inc. in Avery and Watauga Counties. She was the first student from Avery High School to earn the Roan Scholars award at East Tennessee State University, where she worked to increase Latino student involvement in school activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Faculty Administrative Support<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nStephanie Metzen<\/strong>, Faculty Administrative Support Specialist <\/h3>\n\n\n\nStephanie supports law school faculty with document editing, appointment scheduling, and financial reporting. She came to Carolina Law from UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she worked in genomics research and administrative operations. She holds a master\u2019s in Global Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, where her capstone research focused on asylum adjudications for unaccompanied minors from Honduras. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Student Development Office<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nJessie DeHainaut<\/strong>, Business Services Coordinator <\/h3>\n\n\n\nJessie works with student leaders in the Student Development Office, helping them manage finances, coordinate events, make purchases, and book travel.
